Spermatic granuloma in the epididymis of a beagle dog

Abstract:
Pathological examination of a 9-month-old beagle dog revealed the epididymal spermatic granuloma. Grossly, a white nodule was observed in the cauda epididymis on the right side. Microscopically, there were numerous spermatozoa in the center of granuloma, surrounded by a wall of macrophages, fibroblasts, plasma cells, lymphocytes, neutrophils and giant cells. Furthermore, many macrophages containing IgG were observed in the center of granuloma.
