[Caries epidemiology in Budapest nursery schools]

The examination sample was a group of 1592 children of 3 to 6 years of age (787 boys and 805 girls). Aim of the examination was to gather information about the rate and intensity of caries cases of Capital kindergartners. The results permit to state that the rate and intensity of caries show a declining tendency in the last twenty years. Unfortunately, the ratio of children with front teeth caries increase. 39.4% of the 5 years old and 38.6% of the 6 years old have intact teeth.
