  • Eight diligustilide compounds were isolated and identified.
  • These include levistolide A, senkyunolide O, (3Z, 3Z')-6.8', 7.3'-diligustilide, tokinolide B, isotokinolide B, (3'Z)-(3R, 8S, 3a'R, 6'S)-3, 3a': 8, 6'-biligustilide, E, E'-3. 3', 8. 8'-diligustilide, and E, E'-3. 3', 8. 8'-isodiligustilide.
  • Compound E, E'-3. 3', 8. 8'-diligustilide (7) was isolated for the first time from this plant.

Conclusions:

  • The study successfully identified eight diligustilides from Angelica sinensis.
  • Two new diligustilide compounds, (3'Z)-(3R, 8S, 3a'R, 6'S)-3, 3a': 8, 6'-biligustilide (6) and E, E'-3. 3', 8. 8'-isodiligustilide (8), were discovered.
  • This research expands the known chemical diversity of Angelica sinensis.
