Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate the efficacy and safety of pre-pregnancy transabdominal cerclage (TAC) in women with a history of second-trimester deliveries.
  • To assess the fetal salvage rate and pregnancy outcomes following TAC.
  • To determine the complication rate associated with pre-pregnancy TAC.

  • A consecutive series of 45 women with previous second-trimester deliveries underwent pre-pregnancy TAC.
