  • To investigate the electrophysiological characteristics of visual evoked potentials in adults diagnosed with migrainous vertigo.
  • To assess the utility of pattern visual evoked potential (PVEP) testing in the diagnostic workup of MV.

Summary:

  • This study enrolled 113 patients with suspected migrainous vertigo, performing laboratory examinations and PVEP testing.
  • Of 74 patients who underwent PVEP, 52.7% exhibited abnormalities, including reduced amplitude and/or prolonged latency of the N75-P100 wave.
  • Abnormal PVEP findings were observed in both definite and probable MV cases.
