Maternal smoking does not influence cord serum IgE or IgD concentrations

Maternal smoking during pregnancy did not increase cord blood immunoglobulin E (IgE) levels, despite previous suggestions. This study found no link between parental smoking and infant IgE, but did note an association with immunoglobulin D (IgD).
