"Pseudostring sign" on carotid computed tomographic angiography: collateralization by vasa vasorum

Summary
We found a rare collateral pathway in unilateral internal carotid artery (ICA) occlusions using CT angiography. This pathway involves the vasa vasorum, offering new insights into cerebral blood flow compensation.
