Euthyroid hyperthyrotropinemia in children born after in vitro fertilization

Children conceived via in vitro fertilization (IVF) show higher thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) levels, suggesting potential mild thyroid resistance. This finding in IVF children warrants further investigation into its long-term implications.

- IVF children showed elevated serum TSH, suggesting mild thyroid resistance not linked to autoantibodies.
- This may indicate a subtle epigenetic developmental abnormality from preimplantation embryo manipulation.
- Further research is needed to confirm these findings and clarify their clinical significance and cause.
