Steroid hormones and maternal experience interact to induce glial plasticity in the cingulate cortex

Maternal experience and hormones interact to change brain cells in the cingulate cortex (Cg2) of rats. These changes in astrocytes, which support neurons, are crucial for maternal behavior.
