Newer methods over the conventional diagnostic tests for tuberculous meningitis: do they really help?

Rapid diagnosis of tuberculous meningitis (TBM) is crucial for effective treatment. BACTEC culture and PCR demonstrated 100% agreement for TBM diagnosis in children, with BACTEC offering drug sensitivity testing.
