Summary

Tissue plasminogen activator (t-PA) effectively treats acute myocardial infarction (MI) with a low complication rate. This study in 74 patients demonstrated acceptable patency and good outcomes for t-PA in MI treatment.

Background:

Acute myocardial infarction (MI) is a leading cause of mortality.
Timely reperfusion therapy is critical for improving outcomes in MI patients.
Tissue plasminogen activator (t-PA) is a key thrombolytic agent used in MI treatment.
