Abstract:
The surgical anatomy and physiology of the larynx, some typical diseases that affect it, and the clinical diagnostic procedures are reviewed. The emphasis is on the aspects useful in deciding whether diagnostic imaging is indicated and interpreting the images. The diagnostic tools of the ENT clinician are therefore described, with reference to what can be diagnosed easily and what questions may remain open and can better be solved by imaging procedures.
