Elevated tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha) impairs erectile function by reducing nitric oxide synthase expression and nerve-mediated relaxation in mice. This suggests TNF-alpha blockade could be a therapeutic strategy for erectile dysfunction (ED).
