[Procedure for determining various kinds of airway obstruction--informative content and significance for geriatrics]

For testing the airway obstruction the flow volume curve, the body plethysmogaphy, the oscillation technique, the peak flow measurement were used. The flow volume curve and peak flow test are the most important tests on elderly patients. The body plethysmography is the reference method. The oscillation method is helpful, but rarely necessary.
