Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate the safety and efficacy of laparoscopic colorectal resection for endoscopically unresectable polyps.
  • To assess the outcomes of patients undergoing laparoscopic surgery for large colorectal polyps.

Main Methods:

  • A prospective database analysis of patients undergoing laparoscopic colorectal resection for endoscopically unresectable polyps (January 1993 - December 2004).
  • Inclusion criteria: polyps too large, inaccessible, or high-risk for endoscopic removal.
