    Summary

    Meloidogyne javanica infection significantly increases ethylene production and gall size in dicotyledonous plants, but not monocotyledonous plants. Different Meloidogyne species elicit varying responses in tomato root cultures.

  • Excised tomato root cultures were infected with either M. javanica or M. hapla to assess specific nematode-host interactions.
