Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate the short- and long-term effectiveness of a mobile phone-based weight-loss program.
  • To identify predictors of successful weight loss in this digital health intervention.

  • A randomized controlled trial involving 125 healthy overweight adults (BMI 26-36 kg/m2).
  • Experimental group used a mobile phone program with text-message based dietary advice and daily weight reporting with feedback.
