Abstract:
Acute RV failure is an increasingly more common clinical entity and problem. A good understanding of the pathophysiology is required to develop a treatment strategy. Principles of treatment outlined include optimizing RV preload, cautiously reducing RV afterload, and enhancing RV contractility.
