Immunomodulation by chronobiologically-based glucocorticoids treatment for multiple sclerosis relapses

Nighttime intravenous glucocorticoid treatment for multiple sclerosis (MS) relapses significantly lowered serum matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) levels compared to daytime treatment. Both regimens effectively reduced C-reactive protein (CRP), erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), and tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNFalpha).
