Cholesterol transfer activity (CETA) from HDL to LDL is elevated in coronary heart disease (CHD) patients with low HDL cholesterol, suggesting a risk factor. In contrast, high HDL cholesterol in CHD patients is linked to larger HDL particle size, also indicating potential risk.
