Maternal celiac disease: improbable risk factor for neural tube defect

This study investigated the link between maternal celiac disease (CD) and neural tube defects (NTD) in newborns. Serological testing in mothers with NTD-affected pregnancies found no evidence to support a connection between CD and NTD.
