  • Bivariate analyses and logistic regression to assess the association between CD34 density and clinical behavior (aggressive vs. nonaggressive).

    • A CD34 staining threshold of ≥2.5% demonstrated high sensitivity (0.77) and specificity (0.83) for predicting aggressive behavior.
    • CD34 levels >2.5% were strongly associated with aggressive giant cell tumors (odds ratio: 16.7, P = .04).

    • Elevated CD34 expression (≥2.5%) is indicative of aggressive giant cell lesions in the jaw.
    • Immunohistochemical analysis of CD34 can aid in differentiating aggressive from nonaggressive giant cell tumors.
