Summary

Bifurcation lesions pose treatment challenges, often leading to restenosis. A novel BIGUARD stent demonstrated procedural success for these complex lesions, showing promise in clinical experiences.

Background:

Bifurcation lesions present significant technical challenges in percutaneous coronary intervention.
High rates of restenosis at the side branch orifice complicate treatment and necessitate revascularization.

Observation:

Two clinical cases involving the novel BIGUARD stent for bifurcation lesion treatment were analyzed.
The stent is specifically designed to address the complexities of side branch ostial interventions.

Findings:

Procedural success was achieved in both reported cases utilizing the BIGUARD stent.
No in-hospital complications were observed during the procedures for types IVb and Ia lesions.
