Summary

Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate the level of pain experienced by women undergoing multichannel urodynamic testing.
  • To determine the temporal pattern of pain associated with this diagnostic procedure.

  • Retrospective chart review of 50 women undergoing multichannel urodynamic testing.
  • Pain levels were recorded using a visual analog scale (0-10) pre-test, during, and 1.5 hours post-test.

Main Results:

  • A mild but statistically significant increase in pain was observed during the test (p < 0.001).
  • Pain levels significantly decreased after the procedure (p < 0.001).
  • No correlation was found between pain severity and clinical or pelvic floor parameters.
