Sensory nerve conduction studies show few abnormalities in neuralgic amyotrophy patients, even with clinical deficits. These tests have limited diagnostic value for this brachial plexus neuropathy.

- Performed SNCS on lateral/medial antebrachial cutaneous, radial, median, and ulnar sensory nerves.

- Abnormalities found in <20% of nerves, irrespective of clinical deficits.
- Lateral and medial antebrachial cutaneous nerves showed the highest abnormality rates (15% and 17%).
Conclusions:
- Brachial plexus SNCS have limited diagnostic value for neuralgic amyotrophy.
- Sensory lesions may involve nerve roots; normal SNCS do not rule out the diagnosis.
