Correlation between rotator cuff tears and repeated subacromial steroid injections: a case-controlled study

Summary

Repeated corticosteroid injections into the subacromial space did not increase rotator cuff tear incidence in patients with subacromial impingement. This study suggests corticosteroid use is not a causative factor for rotator cuff tears.
