The visual cortex has interlaminar and long-range horizontal connections.
Layer 5 to Layer 6 projections are key intrinsic cortical circuits.
Previous studies suggest Layer 5 activity influences Layer 6 receptive fields.

Purpose of the Study:

Investigate the functional properties of Layer 5 to Layer 6 connections.
Examine correlated neuronal firing between these layers.
Determine how these connections contribute to receptive field properties.
