Hyperglycemia in bacterial meningitis: a prospective cohort study

Most bacterial meningitis patients exhibit hyperglycemia on admission. While not a robust predictor in multivariate analysis, hyperglycemia and diabetes significantly increase the risk of unfavorable outcomes in these patients.
