[Transplantation of the lungs]

The paper is concerned with current status of lung transplantation. The problem was studied by the author in his own experiments, in clinics of Canada and USA. Literature data are reviewed. Special attention is focused on indications for the transplantation, taking and preservation of the transplant, prevention of the rejection, difficulties of clinical introduction of lung transplantation in this country.
