This report details the first known case of a suprasellar spindle cell lipoma in a pediatric patient. The rare tumor presented with headaches and visual disturbances, requiring surgical evaluation.

Background:

Spindle cell lipomas are rare benign tumors typically found in the neck or upper back.
Suprasellar masses can cause significant neurological deficits due to their proximity to critical structures.

Observation:

A 4-year-old male presented with headaches and visual disturbances.
Imaging revealed a 4-5 mm suprasellar mass, initially suspected to be a lipoma or dermoid cyst.
Pathological examination confirmed a spindle cell lipoma.

Findings:

The lesion consisted of mature adipose tissue with intermixed uniform spindle cells and a mucoid matrix.
Spindle cells and vasculature showed focal positivity for CD34.
No evidence of lipoblasts, mitoses, necrosis, or osseous tissue was found.
