Planning and the mental health system

This article examines and analyses the difficulties that beset the administration and operation of the Dutch mental health system. In particular, it focuses upon the areas where further improvements in the existing cooperation between the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Health could facilitate the care and treatment of mentally ill offenders in the criminal justice system.
