Effect of virtual reality training on laparoscopic surgery: randomised controlled trial

Virtual reality (VR) simulator training significantly improved laparoscopic surgery skills for novice gynecological registrars, increasing their performance to an intermediate level and halving operation times. This proficiency-based VR training is recommended before trainees perform laparoscopic procedures.
