Abstract:
The author studied the infant deaths in Barcs and its surroundings during a twelve-year period (from 1978 to 1989). He was looking for the characteristics of this territory. In this period 114 infant deaths occurred. The postnatal age, birth weight, distribution of deaths, parents' age and occupation, sex rate and the meteorological effects have been retrospectively analysed.
