Hyperdry amniotic membrane (AM) patching effectively treated corneal perforations and glaucoma filtering bleb leaks. This novel surgical method shows promise for vision-threatening ocular conditions with no adverse effects.

  • The hyperdry AM was prepared using infrared rays and microwaves, sterilized, and attached with tissue adhesive.
  • A therapeutic hydrogel contact lens was used as a bandage post-procedure.

Findings:

  • All five cases of corneal perforations and glaucoma filtering bleb leaks were successfully repaired within 21 days.
