Summary

Domestic maid violence, including physical and psychological abuse, is a significant global issue. This study documents two cases, highlighting the urgent need for awareness and solutions to protect domestic workers.

Background:

Domestic maid violence encompasses physical, psychological, and sexual abuse by employers or their families.
Despite being a known issue, maid abuse remains under-documented in scientific literature, highlighting a critical global concern.

Observation:

Two illustrated cases of domestic maid abuse are presented, detailing physical and psychological trauma inflicted by employers.
Victims exhibited poor physical condition, including injuries of varying duration, irregular bruises, and dermatological issues like contact dermatitis and fungal infections from unprotected work.
Recurrent trauma resulted in deformed ears ('cauliflower ears'), alongside multiple injuries of different ages.

Findings:

The study documents severe physical and psychological trauma experienced by domestic workers.
