Differences in hippocampal volume between major depression and schizophrenia: a comparative neuroimaging study

Summary

Structural brain changes in the hippocampus are evident in schizophrenia and major depression. This study found hippocampal volume reductions in both patient groups compared to controls, with schizophrenia showing greater reductions, especially in recurrent cases.
