Improved pre-concentration and detection methods for volatile sulphur breath constituents

This study assessed pre-concentration and detection methods for sulfur compounds in breath. Solid phase microextraction (SPME) with mass selective detection (MSD) offered good sensitivity, while sorbent trapping provided excellent limits of detection for volatile sulfur compounds (VSCs).
