Abstract:
The examination was performed in 122 asthmatics with mean age of 32 years. Intracutaneous tests with inhalation allergens of 1200 PNU (protein nitrogen units) and bronchoprovocation tests with histamine and inhalation allergens of pollen and homedust. Effects of allergens of homedust and pollen obtained by intracutaneous and bronchoprovocation tests were compared. The Fischer exact test showed no statistically significant relationship between tests (intracutaneous and bronchoprovocation) for allergens of pollen and homedust (p = 0.081, p greater than 0.05, that is, p = 0.702, p greater than 0.05).
