Tear and meibomian gland function in blepharitis and normals

Blepharitis significantly alters tear evaporation and meibomian gland function, with increased tear evaporation and meibomian gland dropout observed in affected individuals. Lower eyelid meibomian gland dropout is a highly effective diagnostic indicator for blepharitis.
