    Summary

    Researchers demonstrate diode-pumped tunable laser action in a novel Yb:Gd(2(1-x))Y(2x)SiO(5) (Yb:GYSO) crystal. This new alloyed crystal offers excellent laser performance and tunable output from 1030nm to 1089nm.

  • Diode-pumped laser oscillation experiments in a continuous-wave (cw) configuration.
  • Measurement of output power, slope efficiency, and laser wavelength tuning range.
