Abstract:
While the treatment of mild asthma is already effective, better therapies are needed for severe asthma and COPD, and improved formulations are required to aid patient compliance and pediatric use. Improvements in patient training would also be beneficial. Overall, an improved understanding of the mechanisms of both diseases, as well as a universal definition of the factors involved, are of the utmost importance.
