Nonlinear periodization maximizes strength gains in split resistance training routines

Nonlinear periodized (NLP) resistance training was most effective for increasing strength in trained men over 12 weeks. This training model significantly improved both upper- and lower-body strength compared to nonperiodized (NP) and linear periodized (LP) models.
