Is there a relationship between factor V Leiden and type 2 diabetes?

The Factor V Leiden (FVL) gene variant may be linked to a higher prevalence of impaired glucose tolerance and diabetes in patients with a history of venous thromboembolism (VTE). Further research is needed to confirm this association.
