Integrated high-temperature piezoelectric plate acoustic wave transducers using mode conversion

Integrated ultrasonic transducers (IUT) using piezoelectric films on aluminum can detect defects in metal plates up to 150°C. Shear horizontal plate acoustic waves (PAW) proved most effective for identifying line defects.
