Abstract:
The national Nursing Minimun Data Set (NMDS) based on the nursing decision making process, nursing core data (NMDS) and Finnish Care Classification (FinCC) were defined in Finland in the National Nursing documentation project in which Kuopio University Hospital has taken part among other health care organizations. The education and implementation of FinCC, which has been considered useful for nursing practise, is going on in Kuopio University Hospital. The statistics and the reports provided during the project have been beneficial to nursing management, planning, education, research, and quality assessment.
