Patterns of electrocochleographic responses observed in the guinea pig during etacrynic acid intoxication

During the disappearance and recovery of click-evoked cochlear nerve action potential following etacrynic acid intoxication in the guinea pig, the pattern of the electrocochleographic response reproduces the distorted patterns observed in human pathological situations such as Ménière's disorder, vascular disorder, vestibulocochlear schwannoma and kernicterus. These observations should help in finding a satisfactory interpretation of such human pathological patterns.
