Iodized salt induced thyrotoxicosis: Bangladesh perspective

Iodized salt consumption in plain areas of Bangladesh significantly increased thyroid hormones (T3, T4) and decreased thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH). This may lead to iodinated salt induced thyrotoxicosis (ISIT) without proper monitoring.
