Abstract:
In the last several decades, research in the field of sexual health has brought increased understanding of the physiology and pathophysiology of erectile impairment, which has in turn led to development of new therapies. New agents and management strategies will continue to emerge in the near future. This article provides a basis for evaluating new therapies, reviews the therapeutic alternatives that are currently available, and outlines a number of therapies that are on the horizon.
