Summary

Protein kinase C theta (PKCtheta) and Interleukin-2-inducible T-cell kinase (Itk) are crucial for T cell signaling. Their combined deficiency partially rescues T cell activation defects, suggesting complex crosstalk in T cell receptor signaling.

Background:

  • Protein kinase C theta (PKCtheta) and Interleukin-2-inducible T-cell kinase (Itk) are key kinases in T lymphocyte signal transmission.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate the functional crosstalk between PKCtheta and Itk in T cell activation.
  • To elucidate the roles of PKCtheta and Itk in T cell receptor signaling pathways.

  • Generation of PKCtheta/Itk double knockout mice.
