[Two typical carcinoid cases treated by endobronchial approach]

• Two female patients presented with symptoms suggestive of asthma and lung cancer.
• Diagnostic evaluation revealed polypoid-shaped typical carcinoid tumors in both individuals.

Findings:

• Both polypoid typical carcinoid tumors were successfully treated with argon plasma coagulation via rigid bronchoscopy.
• This minimally invasive technique demonstrated efficacy in excising the observed lesions.

Implications:

• Bronchoscopic excision, particularly using argon plasma coagulation, represents a safe and effective therapeutic option for select cases of polypoid typical bronchial carcinoid tumors.
• This approach may avoid the need for more invasive surgical procedures in carefully selected patients.
